A charity worker has been awarded just over £21,000 in compensation after she won her constructive dismissal and disability discrimination tribunal claim, reports the Daily Mail.
The 48-year-old had been suffering from migraines, which were caused by the fluorescent lighting in the office where she worked. She claimed her employers had ignored her requests to change the lighting, and had even deliberately scheduled a meeting with her in a room where they knew the lighting would cause her a problem.
The migraines grew so bad that she eventually resigned, and raised a claim for constructive dismissal.
